According to an arrest report, a man and a woman were approached by five black males just before 2 a.m. Thursday as they were walking toward their apartment building at 960 Biarritz Drive.

The male victim told police that a man wearing a red shirt pointed a rusty-looking rifle at him and demanded his fanny pack.

Police said the fanny pack contained the victim's Galaxy S3, various IDs and $140 in cash.

Police said the woman attempted to hide her purse behind a wall when another robber pointed a black handgun at her and demanded the bag.

According to the report, the victims complied with the robbers' requests. Four of the thieves ran off and another rode off on a bicycle, heading east toward Bay Drive, the report said.

A police officer who was responding to another armed robbery scene nearby said he saw a green Chevrolet Trailblazer that was occupied by four males.

The officer said the SUV was driving fast and he pulled it over at 63rd Street and Alton Road.

According to the report, all four suspects immediately put their hands out the windows of the SUV and were ordered to the ground.

A rifle was found on the floorboard near the rear passenger seat where Johny Etienne was sitting, police said.

Police said the male victim identified Johny Etienne as the person who pointed the rifle at him.

Detectives said all four suspects admitted to their involvement in the robberies when they were questioned at the police station.

Anyone with information about the fifth person involved in the robberies is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
