4 suspected in dozens of burglaries arrested in Coral Springs

Detectives say men went from neighborhood to neighborhood in search of potential targets

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four men suspected in dozens of home burglaries in South Florida have been arrested.

Dontowan Owens, 26, Anthony Myers, 26, Roshan Brown, 25, and Jamar Lewis, 24, were arrested Saturday on various charges, including burglary to an unoccupied dwelling.

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives said they observed the men going from neighborhood to neighborhood in search of potential targets.

Detectives said the men committed two burglaries in Coral Springs while under surveillance by members of a multiagency burglary task force.

According to arrest reports, the men had a crowbar, gloves and screwdrivers in their car, as well as the jewelry they had just stolen.

Owens is currently on probation for three felony convictions. Detectives said he has a history of burglaries and grand theft.

Myers is also on probation and has nine felony convictions.

Detectives said Brown has a history of burglary and robbery arrests, while Lewis is on probation for burglary and grand theft.
