500 turkeys donated to families in need

HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. -

Thanksgiving is just days away and organizations in South Florida are making sure families in need can have a turkey on their dinner table. The Latin American Business Association donated 500 turkeys on Sunday.

WalMart and co-sponsors, Florida Venture Foundation, Soliman Structures, Inc., and Fl Sol Systems, Inc., LABA donated bags filled with un-cooked turkeys and raw food items to 500 families who need it the most.

The 500 families were pre-chosen and given a voucher by their City Council Representative or County Commissioner from various communities in Miami-Dade County.

The distribution took place at the Hollingsworth Hall Senior Center in Hialeah Gardens.
