Men Smash Car Window, Get Away With $250,000 Worth Of Jewelry

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Fort Lauderdale police are looking for three men who smashed out a jewelry salesman's car window and stole a briefcase with more than $250,000 worth of jewelry inside.Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, Said Behnam Shokraniel drove up to a Texaco gas station, 1501 State Road 84, and went inside to purchase some gas. As Shokraniel returned to his car, a sport utility vehicle blocked him in and three men stepped out, demanding that he unlock his car, police said.When he would not, one of the men pulled out a metal object and used it to shatter Shokraniel's left rear window, police said. The man reached in, removed the briefcase and all three drove away in the SUV.
Police have not yet located the SUV or the three men believed to have been involved.
