8 migrants stopped off Key West, sent back to Cuba

KEY WEST, Fla. - Eight Cuban migrants stopped Monday on a rustic vessel off Key West were taken back to Cuba.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the 18-foot vessel was spotted Monday southwest of Key West. A smallboat crew was sent to find the boat and took eight migrants onboard.

A Coast Guard cutter arrived and took the migrants aboard.

They were taken to Bahia de Cabanas on Friday.
