MIAMI -- Police say that they are very concerned that they have receieved no calls about a child who was tossed out a car window and left on the street late Thursday night.A witness said she saw the girl pushed from the car, and she said as the car drove away, the child ran after it, shouting, "Daddy, daddy."Lt. Bill Schwartz conjectured that the child may have been abandoned as a result of a domestic conflict in which a man was taking revenge on the child's mother. He said they are not sure that the mother is aware of what happened and they are hoping she will see the news reports and call in to claim the child.
Police said the girl appears to be about 4 or 5 years old. She was not injured in the incident. Investigators said the child's name may be "Danielle," but they said she is not able to give them much information.Detective Delrish Moss said, "It looks like someone cared fro this child before she was abandoned. So, that is what concerns us -- that no one has called."The car is described as an older-model gold or light-brown sedan. It was last seen on Northwest 17th Avenue in Liberty City.If you have any information, you are asked to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
