DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -

A man charged with abducting a woman at a health clinic in Deerfield Beach made his first appearance in bond court on Tuesday.

Vinson Rattray, 32, was arrested late Monday. He was charged with kidnapping, displaying a firearm during a felony, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, wearing a mask while committing a third-degree felony, and aggravated stalking.

You can say stalking her. There were phone calls, emails ,and get her number changed," said Veda Coleman-Wright with the Broward Sheriff's Office.

According to BSO, Rattray forced Latonya Peak into a vehicle at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Amadeo Trinchitella Clinic, or Deerfield Beach High School Health Center, on Monday afternoon.

"When he first took her, he threatened to kill her," said Tisha Newton, Peak's cousin..

About an hour later and 12 miles away, investigators found the getaway car, a silver Dodge Charger, parked across the street from Coral Springs Medical Center at the Greenacres Apartments.

"I knew there had been a kidnapping," said Barbara Babinec. "And, all of a sudden, I saw police going past my back window with the rifles."

Seven hours after the abduction, police said Rattray peacefully surrendered to police after they surrounded an apartment he was in.

Peak was reunited with her family afterwards. She wasn't injured.

"She is doing good, well to be expected for all she went through," said Newton. "He didn't touch her physically."

Police released 911 calls Tuesday afternoon.

LISTEN: 911 calls

"All you know is that there's a man with a gun on the school?" asked the 911 operator.

"Yeah," said the caller.

Coworkers said Rattray harassed and threatened Peak for months. But Rattray's sister Octavia denied that.

"It's a lot of misunderstanding, a lot of miscommunication, a lot of everything," said Octavia Rattray. "Now, my brother, he did what he did, you can't take that from him, but just a lot of lies."

Octavia Rattray added that her brother was a patient at the Amadeo Trinchitella Clinic, where he was undergoing treatment for a heart condition.

Rattray was previously convicted on drug charges.
