Surveillance video: Home Depot theft

WEST PARK, Fla. -

A man was caught on surveillance video last week stealing $800 worth of merchandise from a Home Depot store in West Park, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

The incident occurred Feb. 1 at the Home Depot at 1951 S. State Road 7.

BSO said the man took a 252-piece mechanical set, a hammer drill and an impact wrench from the store. He kept walking when an employee tried to stop him, investigators said.

The thief, who was wearing a gray shirt and black shorts, got into an older-model red Nissan, BSO said.

The man was in his mid-20s and was about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
