Pompano Beach, Lauderhill event offers free backpacks, pens, paper

SOUTH FLORIDA -

A pair of back to school events in Lauderhill and Pompano Beach will offer free school supplies for hundreds of families.

The first event is Tuesday at SFMC Medical Group of Pompano Beach. It will take place from 10 a.m. until noon at 33 South Pompano Parkway in Pompano Beach.

Backpacks will be provided to the first 100 kids. Other items in the giveaway include paper and pencils will also be handed out.

If you can't make it out for Tuesday's event, there will be another opportunity to get free school supplies on Wednesday. SFMC Medical Center in Lauderhill will be holding a similar event from 10 a.m. until noon.  SFMC in Lauderhill is located at 1229 North State Road 7.
