Miami, FL – It's time to ring in the new year and Bayfront Park is the place to be for the largest FREE party in South Florida! Join us for a Dance Party with Tony the Hitman and count down to midnight with Miami's own, "La Gran Naranja" (formerly The Big Orange)! At the south end of the park, this New Year's Eve icon will slowly ascend the side of the InterContinental Hotel, reaching the top at midnight in conjunction with a grand display of fireworks shot over beautiful Biscayne Bay.

Taking Public Transportation?

Monday, Dec. 31: Metrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on a regular weekday schedule and starting at approximately 8:30pm, Metrorail will provide a service frequency of every 15 minutes between the Dadeland South and Earlington Heights stations; and every 30 minutes between the Palmetto and Earlington Heights stations.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 1: The last northbound and southbound trains will depart from the Government Center Station at 2:00am.  Metromover also will continue to run until approximately 2:00am on Jan. 1.

 

Parking facilities at Metrorail stations will remain open until the stations close at 2:00am on Jan. 1.

 

To avoid long lines at Metrorail stations during New Year's Eve, transit riders are encouraged to load at least $4 on an EASY Card or EASY Ticket at any Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) early. Riders are reminded that a 1-Day Pass is good for one calendar day and that it expires at 2:00am the following day.
