TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A bill that could impact the future of Sun Life Stadium will be heard Tuesday by a Florida senate committee in Tallahassee.
The bill proposes a $3 million tax rebate to sports teams with plans to update their stadiums.

In order to qualify, the team must be making at least $250 million in improvements and the owner must also pay for at least half of the costs.
Dolphins' owner Steve Ross wants about $400 million in improvements for Sun Life Stadium. He has promised to pay for more than half of the costs.
In the Commerce and Tourism Committee, are senators Gwen Margolis and Jeremy Ring, of South Florida.
Both are democrats and represent portions of Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Members of the South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee will also be in Tallahassee Tuesday for the proposal.
