Boca Raton getting mosquito spraying

BOCA RATON, Fla. -

Palm Beach County Mosquito Control is planning a new round of aerial spraying.

Mosquito Control said it plans on flying above western Palm Beach County from Jupiter to Boca Raton on Monday, July 2.

The aerial spraying will cover approximately 270,000 acres.

All of our recent rain has led to a  mosquito explosion.

Along with this spraying, homeowners are urged to drain or minimize standing water on their properties.

Also, if you are going to be outdoors after dark, be sure to use insect repellent containing DEET and wear long pants and long-sleeve shirts.
