NORTH MIAMI BEACH -

Investigators from the North Miami Beach Police Department spent the overnight hours bagging up the belongings of a man found dead in a lake.

Right at closing time, behind the P.F .Chang? s restaurant, a man?s body was found in the water.

The water, along Biscayne Boulevard and 174th Street, is part of Maule Lake. The lake connects to the intercoastal.

Detectives say it appears the man made it to shore, and tied up his small raft before he ended up dead in the water. The raft was taken away by investigators on a tow truck.

Detectives say it?s possible the man lived on a boat in the area, but they won?t be completely sure about the circumstances surrounding the case until the medical examiner completes an autopsy.

The man's identity hasn't determined.
