Gruesome discovery made in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -

Broward County deputies are trying to figure out when a motorcycle crashed, killing one person.

Early Monday morning, a person walking in the area of 601 SW 13 Terrace in Pompano Beach discovered a body.

That person called 911 at 6:38 a.m. Officers say the caller was not a witness to the crash. A motorcycle, which was destroyed, was spotted near the body.

Sky 10 was over what appeared to be the crash scene Monday. You could see the bike, barely recognizable and a body covered with yellow tarp.

Detectives expect to release more information later in the day.
