MIAMI -

A man's body was found in a Miami back yard after he was involved in a shootout with another man early Monday, said Miami police.

Elise Shoucair found the body in her back yard at 210 Northeast 77th Street about 7 a.m. Tuesday.

"I saw my back yard and I saw the body and I says, 'Uh oh,'" said Shoucair. "He was bleeding from the mouth and the nose and he was kind of lying on his face."

The man, in his 20s, was involved in a shootout with another man at 3 a.m. in the Little Haiti neighborhood, said Miami police. The other man was in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Detectives were still looking for a motive in the shooting.

"The neighborhood used to be real bad a few years ago, now it's a little better. It surprised me that this happened this morning here," said Sam Lima.

On Monday night, a triple shooting sent three men to the hospital -- two in serious condition and the other in critical condition. Miami police said the shooting was drug related, but not related to the body found in the back yard.

"We're in Little Haiti and when you're in Little Haiti, stuff like that happens," said Valerie Alli.

The shootings, just hours apart, have neighbors on edge.

"Every time I'm walking, I gotta look behind me and see what's going on, you never know when you're gonna get shot, it's ridiculous," said Lima.

Shoucair said she has to move because of all the violence in her backyard

"I'm very wary, I have been since I moved in here three years ago," she said.
