Body found in car submerged in lake

Man's body found in Coconut Creek lake off Wiles Road, Lyons Road

COCONUT CREEK, Fla. – Divers found a man's body inside a car submerged in a Coconut Creek lake.

Family members identified the man as 30-year-old Isaac Page, a chef at Stargate Bar & Grill in Pompano Beach.

Page's father, Isaac Page, Sr., said they last saw him Sunday night.

"We've been looking for two days," said Page Sr., "calling all over everywhere, just trying to find him because that's not normal for him not to show up."

Police were called to the 4100 block of Wiles Road just east of Lyons Road about 9:15 a.m. after a resident reported seeing a broken fence and tire marks next to the Banyon Trails Park Pond.

A high school student noticed the broken fence and missing hedges earlier in the morning, but didn't realize the tire marks led down to the lake.

"I saw the fence looked like it was just demolished," the student said.

Firefighters from the Broward Sheriff's Office, Margate, and Coconut Creek responded.

They found a Chevrolet Monte Carlo upside down in the water.

Page Sr. believes his son may have fallen asleep as he drove home. He said his son volunteered at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and leaves behind four children.

"It's a loss for everybody that know him," he said.

It's unclear what led up to the car going in to the lake.

"No matter who it is, you don't want to see anyone go something like that," said Debbie Shields.
