A 6-year-old boy suffered minor injuries in a bizarre crash outside a day care center in Fort Lauderdale.

The crash happened in the parking lot of a day care center near Sistrunk Boulevard and 14th Terrace Monday afternoon.

Police say a woman drove her vehicle to the center and left it running with the boy inside. The vehicle then crashed into a pillar outside the building.

The boy suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. 

It's unclear if charges will be filed.
