The Broward Center for the Performing Arts broke ground on its expansion on Wednesday.
The expansion includes:
- A club level being added to the Au-Rene Theater, which will open in October.
- The new Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center, which will have performance and classroom space.
- The Huizenga Pavilion, which will offer waterfront views at a riverfront bistro.
Other projects include a complete restoration of the lobby areas, new hospitality areas, and upgraded performance spaces and audience chambers.
The expansion should be finished in the spring of 2014.
