An 81-year-old man admitted to molesting girls after he was arrested Tuesday, said Broward Sheriff's Office deputies.

Murry Snider was arrested at his home in Margate. He was charged with 10 counts of lewd or lascivious molestation with a child under 12.

Snider is accused of sexually abusing two girls. Detectives believe there are at least six more victims.

Detectives began investigating Snider in May after a teenager in Sebring, Florida, told her mother that Snider had repeatedly molested her when she was between the ages of 6 and 9. At the time, Snider was working as a maintenance man at the Executive Economy Lodge in Pompano Beach, said detectives. The alleged incidents happened between December 2004 and August 2006.

Detectives said Snider asked girls to call him "Grandpa" and would invite them in his room for movies and food. Snider reportedly told detectives he had been molesting girls since he was a child.

Snider has lived in Alabama, Texas, Nevada, and throughout Florida.

Snider was given no bond despite not appearing in bond court Wednesday.

"The court is concerned about Mr. Snider that during the course of his employment, he was preying on victims as he was a maintenance man at a hotel," said Judge John Hurley.

Snider was rescheduled to appear Thursday morning after his hearing was delayed for medical reasons. He suffers from lung disease.
