BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -

The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office announced Thursday it is limiting the number of absentee ballots voters can drop off to five, including their own.

Previously, voters could drop off as many absentee ballots as they wanted.

Miami-Dade County has an ordinance that makes it a crime to possess more than two absentee ballots. Broward does not.

Voters can drop off ballots at:

Voters can also mail absentee ballots back for $1.50.

The move comes after Local 10 reported five convicted felons and a dead woman had voted in a Dania Beach election last year. Their absentee ballots were among 200 others dropped off by one woman.

Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes said Wednesday the county was taking action to remove those felons from the voter rolls.
