Transportation options are expanding for residents of downtown Orlando.
Officials this week unveiled a car-share program on the same day that potential customers got a sneak peak of the SunRail commuter trains.
Under the car-share program operated by Hertz, Orlando residents can rent cars on an hourly basis. Rates start around $8 an hour depending on the vehicle.
Residents will be able to choose from 12 cars at six locations throughout downtown.
Meanwhile, central Florida's SunRail commuter train debuts next year.
Transportation officials say the car-share program will allow residents who use the commuter train to run errands in a car during the day while they're at work, if they need it.
