"I was sacred. And I was nervous at the time," said store clerk Gias Uddin.

Uddin said no customers were inside at the time of the robbery.

The man, dressed like a ninja, walked into the convenience store holding a handgun, said Fort Lauderdale police. The armed robber then forced Uddin to open the register.

"And he got our money. And he told me to open our safe. And I told him I don't have a code to open the safe," said Uddin.

The robber took an undisclosed amount of cash and ran off.

The armed robber was last seen wearing black shorts, a black long-sleeve t-shirt, black sneakers, and a black t-shirt draped over his face.

"This neighborhood we are working and we never have any problem. Everybody is nice. But sometimes this happens and it really bothers us," said store manager Dilip Modak.
