The Florida Department of Transportation had started work on a maintenance resurfacing project on the Tamiami Trail.

The project limits extend along State Road 90 -- also known as Tamiami Trail -- from the Collier County line to west of Loop Road in Miami-Dade County.

The project will cost an estimated $1.3 million.

The work will last about four months and includes the repaving and restriping the roadways.
