Collection to help Sandy victims begins
Operation Shoe Box benefits people living in Breezy Point

Operation Shoe Box, a partnership between the City of Deerfield Beach, the Deerfield Beach Kiwanis Club, the Broward Sheriff's Office, and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, began collecting items for Hurricane Sandy victims on Tuesday.
The collection will benefit the beachfront town of Breezy Point in Queens, N.Y.
Items needed include:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Soap
- Toothpaste
- Tooth brushes
- Floss
- Deodorant
- Hair brushes
- Flashlights
- Batteries
- Band aids
Clothing will not be accepted.
Items can be dropped off at:
- All five Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Deerfield Beach Stations
- The BSO Deerfield Beach District Office and West Substation
- Deerfield Beach City Hall
- Central City Campus
- Westside Park
- Constitution Park
Collections will continue through Monday, Nov. 19.
