Construction worker injured

PLANTATION, Fla. -

A construction worker was injured while at a job site in Plantation about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The incident happened at 599 American Express Way.

The 42-year-old man was injured on the fifth floor when about 1,500 pounds of sheetrock fell on him, according to Plantation Fire Rescue.

He was transported to a nearby hospital. His condition wasn't immediately available.
