Police now say a woman, who was found dead in a South Florida home, had been murdered by her boyfriend.

Boynton Beach Police said they responded to a suspicious incident at 706 NW 8th Street early Thursday morning.

The officers found Marcline Demosthene, 20, dead in a bedroom.

After an investigation, detectives said they believed Demosthene was murdered by Steverson Altidor, 35.

Both Altidor and Demosthene lived in the bedroom where the homicide occurred.

Police said Altidor fled the scene after the homicide and was later identified in Boca Raton as the person who committed an apparent suicide by stepping in front of a Tri-Rail commuter train early yesterday morning.
