Cops: Man tries abducting child at Miami Int'l Airport
Anthony Calvanese charged with false imprisonment of a child under 13 years old
Police arrested a 24-year-old tow truck driver who they say tried abducting a minor at Miami International Airport Monday.
Police charged Anthony Calvanese with false imprisonment of a child under 13 years old.
According to an arrest affidavit, the child arrived at MIA and was awaiting transportation to a family member's home in Miami. As the child was standing by the exit door, Calvanese grabbed him by the arm and said, "You belong to me and you're coming with me."
Calvanese began walking away with the child, who began screaming inside the terminal, police say. He let go of the child and ran away but was later arrested.
Calvanese was being held on no bond Tuesday.
