Cops: Man used fake money to buy gas

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -

A South Florida man was arrested after he tried to use bogus money to buy gas, cops said.

Boynton Beach Police said they arrested Sahak Boghossian, 29, on Friday night.

The clerk at the 7-11 convenience store and gas station on West Gateway Boulevard called the cops and claimed Boghossian tried to pass off funny money.

Cops arrived and said they found counterfiet cash on Boghossian as well as illegal drugs.

Boghossian was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.

He was charged with bank fraud, possession of counterfeit money, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and possession of marijuana.

According to the jail website, Boghossian bonded out on Monday morning.
