POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -

A concrete grinder caught fire along a Pompano Beach street Tuesday morning.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. Pompano Beach Fire-Rescue responded to calls about a large amount of black smoke in the area of Northwest 30th Avenue and 1st Court.

When firefighters arrived, they found a huge concrete grinding machine in a vacant field fully engulfed in flames.

From Sky 10, firefighters could be seen dousing the flames as they engulfed the crane.

The firefighters extinguished the blaze before it spread to a nearby home and church.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
