Cuba-U.S. bound plane makes emergency landing

Plane was heading from Guantanamo to Andrews Air Force Base

MIAMI – A chartered plane from Cuba to Andrews Air Force based was forced to make an emergency landing in Miami.

According to officials at Miami International Airport, a light indicator problem on the Miami Air flight prompted the unscheduled landing.

Officials at Miami Air would not comment on the incident.

There were 144 soldiers on board. No injuries were reported.
