A deadly accident caused major delays on I-75 southbound Friday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was hit and killed while walking on the roadway after 7 p.m.

All southbound lanes of the expressway were closed at Miami Gardens Drive and traffic was being exited off at the Florida Turnpike.

The lanes were reopened by Saturday morning.
