FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman accused of driving her car into a group of family and friends, including a 2-year-old boy, after an ongoing dispute was in jail Thursday morning.
Police arrested Sharoya Rucker, 19, Wednesday. She was charged with attempted murder and five counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Rucker drove into the crowd at the end of a road in the 500 block of Southwest 2nd Street in Pompano Beach Wednesday after an ongoing dispute. Jachles says the driver "accelerated into the crowd" and struck at least five people.
Rucker admitted the incident stemmed from an earlier fight with another family member, police say.
But Rucker's sisters, brother, and father said another family member chased Rucker with a shotgun.
Rucker's family told Hurley the 2-year-old boy wasn't hit but instead fell on the floor.
"The baby didn't get hit," said one of Rucker's sisters. "She didn't hit that baby."
"I highly doubt that the gravity of that's made out in this police report and on the newscasts are actually what happened," said attorney Terrance Connor, Rucker's public defender. "I do believe that there are significant omissions in the police report."
A 2-year-old child was airlifted to the hospital as a precaution. Two adults were taken to the hospital, but authorities say none of the injuries were life threatening. The other injuries were minor.
Hurley ordered Rucker be held on no bond for the attempted murder charge and she have no contact with any of the victims.
