NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. -

A couple was in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital after being shot nearly a dozen times on Saturday.

Family and friends said Maritza Colidres, 51, and her husband Oscar Padilla, 62, suffered major blood loss after undergoing surgery.

The couple was gunned down outside their car by a family friend who was looking for the couple's son.

The two had an ongoing dispute.

"She was trying to calm him down and my uncle as well and he just shot them. He shot my aunt six times and my uncle three times," said Hector Galiano.

The family was able to provide police with the gunman's name as well as the area where he lives.

So far, no arrest has been made.
