Dwyane Wade delivers gifts to house fire victims

Welline Rose loses belongings in apartment fire

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade delivered a truckload of furniture and gifts to a woman who nearly lost everything when a fire ripped through her apartment.

Wade and his World Foundation made the delivery on Friday Welline Rose knew something good was happening when she saw the media outside her Hollywood home.

"Awesome. It was great," said Rose.

"To be able to consistently give back to the community that gives me so much support since I've gotten to this point in the NBA, I'm blessed," said Wade.

"It was a pleasure to deliver the furniture and help out any way we could, to help Wade out," said Lee Berman with Global Furniture. "I think it's a great thing. These poor people lost everything they had."

A fire destroyed Rose's Hallandale Beach apartment on Dec. 7. The mother of two then moved to Hollywood with few belongings.

"It means a lot to me. It really do," said Rose.

Wade planned on surprising two more families with furniture during the holiday season.
