Eagle Charter Academy School in Lauderdale Lakes has closed.

On Thursday, Broward County Public Schools officials confirmed the charter school had closed.

Officials with Eagle Charter Academy, which had students in grades 6th through 12th, have not yet told the school board why its closing.

Students can enroll in another charter school or a traditional school. A letter was sent to parents detailing their options.

It's not clear how many students will be affected by the school's closing.
