MIAMI -

Saturday is the last early voting day ahead of Florida's regulary scheduled primary date on Tuesday, January 31.

As of Friday, Miami-Dade County registered a total of 14,971 ballots. Broward County had a total of 5,940 ballots. These totals include both early voting and absentee ballots.

Only registered Republicans can vote for a GOP presidential candidate.

However, all registered voters, regardless of party affiliation, can weigh in on their particular city and county's local races and referendums.

The major race in Broward County is for the mayor of Fort Lauderdale.  Other races include commission seats in Fort Lauderdale, Parkland, Pembroke Pines, Lauderdale-by-the-sea, and Lighthouse Point.

In Miami-Dade County, look for two initiatives to reform the county charter.

After early voting ends, registered voters will be required to go to their regular polling place on Tuesday to cast their ballots.
