Estranged husband questioned in death of woman, 2 girls in Miami

MIAMI (AP) — Detectives are talking to the estranged husband of a woman who was found slain alongside her two young daughters south of Miami.

The bodies of 29-year-old Gladys Machado and two of her children, ages 4 and 8, were found Nov. 13 inside a closet at the home where they had lived with 28-year-old Alberto Luis Sierra. The Miami Herald (http://hrld.us/TVnmlV ) reported Tuesday that Machado's car was found near Sierra's home.

The Herald reports detectives armed with a search warrant, searched Sierra's mother's home. The newspaper reports police have not named Sierra a "person of interest."

Police have not said how the victims died.
