FBI searches office of South Florida doctor and prominent political donor

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -

FBI agents are searching the office of a prominent South Florida political donor.

Authorities could be seen inside the Vitreo-Retinal Consultants Eye Center in West Palm Beach late Tuesday and past midnight Wednesday.

It is the office of Dr. Salomon Melgen, who has been linked to numerous politicians through his contributions.

The FBI did not speak to reporters on the scene. Melgen could not immediately be located for comment.
