MIAMI -

Close to 10,000 customers in Miami-Dade and Broward counties lost power Thursday night, according to Florida Power and Light.

As of 5 a.m. Friday, FPL said power was restored to most of the customers affected by the outages. According to FPL, 300 customers in Miami-Dade and 80 in Broward remain without power.

Crews said they were working to restore power to the affected areas.

The power outage was caused by stormy weather conditions, officials said.
