MIAMI -

Miami-Dade police are searching for two men, one of whom wore a shirt saying "Police" on it, who stormed a Miami-Dade home, tied up a woman and stole her money.

The robbers struck at a home at 315 SW 12th Ave. just after 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Miami-Dade police said an adult woman, her two children, ages 11 and 13, and a 19-year-old woman were in the home when two men came in the front door.

Aida Fina-Milian, of the Miami-Dade Police Department, said one of the men had a gun and a badge and was wearing a black shirt that said "Police" on it.

The robbers tied up the mother and demanded her property, Miami-Dade police said.

The two men ransacked the home, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, and then left.

No injuries were reported.

"It is two young kids, home with their mom, and it's two people. Your home is your safe place, so obviously, I'm sure these kids were very shaken up and the mom afraid for her children," Fina-Milian said. "It's just a bad situation all the way around."

The man wearing the "Police" shirt had white hair, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477)\.
