Local 10 teamed up with El Dorado Furniture to help change the life of a struggling family. 

Oni Frye and her six children live in an unfurnished two-bedroom apartment. They share two small beds that are pushed together. 

Local 10's cameras were rolling as Frye learned she was picked to receive up to $5,000 in furniture from the famed the South Florida company. 

An interior designer jotted down dimensions in each of the rooms in order to pick the new furniture for the living room, rooms and dining room. 

"This is our first time being on our own, personal home, and this is going to be good for the kids and for me as an adult," Frye said. 

The donation is a blessing for the family that includes three children who are on disability. 

Local 10 also donated $500 to the family. 

Frye plans on using the money to buy her children clothing. She is also planning to go back to school to study nursing.
