Fatal hit-and-run in Oakland Park

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. -

A man on a bicycle was hit and killed by an vehicle in Oakland Park Wednesday, according to authorities.

It happened at 1595 West Oakland Park Boulevard.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said investigators do not yet know who hit the man.

Authorities said they learned of the incident at about 3:45 p.m.

Deputies said the garbage truck or dump truck initially believed to be involved in the accident was not involved.
