The Fort Lauderdale City Commission voted to expand their ban on panhandling.
The commission voted unanimously for the expansion on Tuesday night.
The ban extends to city parks, city-owned parking lots and garages, and within 15 feet of an ATM.
Panhandling was already banned along the beach.
Some residents said the ban is about safety, but those who do panhandle said the city is attempting to squeeze them out.
