Free ride along new 95 Express Route

Changes starting Sunday to existing 95 Express routes

MIAMI – Starting Sunday, Broward County Transit will make service adjustments on Routes 10, 18 and 441 Breeze. On Monday, January 7, a new 95 Express route from Hollywood to Miami Civic Center will begin, with complimentary rides the first week, January 7 through 11. Service adjustments will also be made to the current 95 Express Pembroke Pines and Miramar routes. The following is a breakdown of those changes, according to Broward County Transit.

Route 10 - Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays:
Service frequency will change from every 25 minutes to every 30 minutes.
Sunday morning service from the Broward Central Terminal will start at 8:20 a.m.
Schedule times have been adjusted throughout the route

Route 18 - Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays:
Northern segment of the route will be extended to Turtle Creek Drive and U.S. 441
Bus stop has been added at Northwest 31 Street and Northwest 62 Avenue

Saturdays:
Service frequency will improve from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in both directions

Sundays:
Southbound service from Turtle Creek Drive and U.S. 441 will start at 6 a.m.; the last trip will depart at 9:30 p.m.

Northbound service from Golden Glades will start at 6 a.m.

Evening trips after 7 p.m. will depart every 15 minutes

441 Breeze - Weekdays
Northern segment of the route will be extended to Turtle Creek Drive and U.S. 441

Time points listed on the schedule have been reduced from 21 to 7 locations each way

Effective Monday, January 7:
New 95 Express Hollywood will offer free rides during the first week, has been renamed from 95 Express Pembroke Pines and will no longer stop at C.B. Smith Park. The route will depart from the new, University Drive Park and Ride at Pembroke Commons Shopping Center, University Drive and Pines Boulevard, then proceed to the new Hollywood Hills Shopping Plaza park and ride, located at Park Road and Hollywood Boulevard, and travel to Miami Civic Center and downtown Miami. Service will be extended further east to Southeast First Avenue.

Service will operate on weekdays every 30 minutes during morning and afternoon peak traffic hours. The first southbound morning trip will depart Pembroke Commons Shopping Center at 5:30 a.m. with the last trip at 8:40 a.m. The first northbound afternoon trip will depart downtown Miami at 3:42 p.m. with the last trip at 6:42 p.m. Limited reverse direction trips for passengers who would be traveling in the opposite direction will be available. The number of time points listed on the schedule has been reduced.

 95 Express Miramar to Miami Civic Center:
The route will travel directly to Miami Civic Center, and service to downtown Miami will be provided by the 95 Express Pembroke Pines. The route has been extended to travel along Northwest 9 Avenue between Northwest 14 Street and Northwest 19 Street in Miami.

 Service will operate on weekdays every 15 minutes during morning and afternoon peak traffic hours until 5:37 p.m., and every 30 minutes during evening hours. The first southbound morning trip departs Miramar Town Center park and ride at 5:45 a.m. and the last trip departs at 8:20 a.m.  The first northbound afternoon trip departs the Civic Center at 3:07 p.m. and the last trip departs at 7:42 p.m. The number of time points listed the schedule has been reduced.

 95 Express Pembroke Pines to Downtown Miami:
The route will start at C.B. Smith park and ride, with a stop at the Miramar Town Center park and ride, and continue to downtown Miami. The downtown Miami stops will be the same as the current 95 Express Pembroke Pines route, and extended further east to Southeast First Avenue.

Service will operate on weekdays every 30 minutes during morning and afternoon peak traffic hours, with some trips operating every 15 minutes during morning and afternoon peak hours. The first southbound morning trip departs C.B. Smith Park at 5:40 a.m. and the last trip departs at 8:45 a.m. The first northbound afternoon trip departs downtown Miami at 3:38 p.m. and the last trip departs at 6:38 p.m. with the first stop at Miramar Town Center, and continues to C.B. Smith Park.  Limited reverse direction trips for passengers who would be traveling in the opposite direction will be available. The number of time points on the schedule has been reduced.

Premium fares apply to the 95 Express bus service as follows:

$2.35 for a one-way trip

 $1.15 reduced fare one-way trip (persons 65 years and over)

 $23.50 Premium 10-Ride Bus Pass

 $85 Premium 31-Day Bus Pass

 

The Premium 31-Day Bus Pass is accepted on all BCT bus routes. Premium 10-Ride and Premium 31-Day Bus Passes are available for purchase online. Visit broward.org/bct and click PURCHASE BUS PASS. Passes may also be purchased at the Main Bus Terminal and at the following County libraries: Miramar Branch Library and Education Center, Pembroke Pines/Walter C. Young Resource Center, South Regional/Broward College Library, Southwest Regional Library and Sunrise Dan Pearl Branch Library.
