Gas leak disrupts traffic

Northbound, southbound lanes on Federal Highway reopened near Atlantic Boulevard

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -

A gas leak caused traffic issues in Pompano Beach on Monday, deputies said.

The affected area was near Federal Highway and Atlantic Boulevard.

Northbound and southbound lanes on Federal Highway were closed until the problem was resolved.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said they helped with resulting traffic problems.

BSO deputies reported traffic had resumed and was back to normal around 8 p.m.
