A 12-year-old girl is missing from Tampa, Fla., the Florida Department Law Enforcement said.

Jhonea Mercedes Lyle was last seen in the 16000 block of Bonneville Drive in Tampa. She was wearing white basketball shorts, a black basketball t-shirt with a picture of a basketball and the words "I-hoop" on the front and pink slides. She may be carrying a black and purple gym bag.

Lyle is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds.
