Gov. Rick Scott's mother dies

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. -

Florida Gov. Rick Scott's mother has died.

On Tuesday evening, Scott tweeted, "My Mom – one of the only constants in my life – has passed away. Ann and I are comforted by all the thoughts and prayers for our family."

A spokesperson for the governor confirmed the news.
