FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Only one gun was seized at South Florida airports in the last week, according to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
TSA screeners said that they seized a .380 handgun at a Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport security checkpoint last Sunday. The gun was loaded when it was stopped.
No guns were found at Miami International Airport in the last week.
In all, TSA screeners stopped 30 guns from making it onto flights across the country in the last week. 26 of those guns were loaded.
