Hallandale Beach Woman Reported Missing

Women Caught On Tape Using Missing Woman's Credit Card

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Police are searching for a Hallandale Beach woman whose credit cards were used by two other women over the weekend.

Lynda Robin Meier, 40, was last seen on Friday as she left her home in the 1800 block of South Ocean Drive in Hallandale Beach.

The next day, police said two unidentified women used Meier's Mastercard at a Walmart store in the 5800 block of Northwest 177th Street in Miami Lakes. A surveillance camera captured an image of the women.

Investigators said Wednesday that Meier's credit cards have since been used in other parts of Miami-Dade County. Police are checking to determine whether surveillance cameras captured suspects in those instances.

Meier is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. She was driving a red Cadillac Escalade.

Meier's twin brother, Eric Meier, called her disappearance "highly unusual."

"She'd speak to our mother four to five times a day," Eric Meier said.

Meier's mother, Phyllis Meier, said she spoke to her daughter the night before she disappeared and everything was fine. She said Lynda Meier was supposed to take her to a doctor's appointment on Friday and did not show up.

"I'm desperately upset. I feel a piece of me is gone," Phyllis Meier said.

Hallandale Beach police said it is too early to determine whether foul play was involved in Meier's disappearance. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has joined in the investigation.

Anyone with information about Meier or the two women who used her credit card are asked to call Hallandale Beach police Detective Matias at 954-457-1432.
