The ramp from westbound Interstate 595 to southbound Interstate 95 has been reopened after a crash had closed the roadway.
From Sky 10 overhead, a tractor-trailer could be seen laying on its side beneath and overpass, which is near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Florida Highway Patrol said the tractor-trailer failed to negotiate the curve and lost control when merging onto I-95 from I-595. The truck overturned and the trailer separated from the tractor.
Two people were in the truck at the time of the crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The male driver, Mackson Pinchinat, 46, of North Miami Beach was uninjured, and his female passenger, Avon Alcia McKoy, 42, of Wesley Chapel, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center with minor injuries, troopers said.
Crews were working to break apart the truck, which was carrying 7,000 pounds of frozen lobster.
Traffic was closed down on the ramp for about three hours, but police said traffic was still moving on I-595 and I-95. The accident scene was cleared by 7:30 p.m. Friday
